Privacy Policy
Azapak (ABN 48 919 980 766) operates azapak.com.au from our head office in Brisbane, Queensland. We respect your privacy and take care with the information we handle. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we manage it.
"Personal Information" means information about you from which you are identified or could reasonably be identified.
Scope
Azapak supplies packaging consumables, warehouse equipment and custom packaging solutions to businesses. This website provides product information and allows you to enquire, request a quote or place an order.
Product information, specifications and images are drawn from our suppliers and from internal and external sources. We take care to keep this accurate and current, however it may change without notice and should be confirmed with us before you rely on it.
This policy applies to azapak.com.au and to information collected through it. It does not apply to other websites we link to.
What we collect
You can browse this website without telling us who you are. We only collect Personal Information when you give it to us, such as when you make an enquiry, create an account or place an order. This usually includes your name, business name, email address, phone number and delivery address, along with a record of your enquiries and orders.
We may collect this in person, by phone, by email, through our website, or through people you authorise to act for you. Please do not send us sensitive information unless we specifically ask for it.
If you give us contact details for someone else, please make sure they know and have agreed. If the details you give us are incomplete or incorrect, we may not be able to supply what you have asked for.
Why we collect it
We use this to respond to enquiries, supply and deliver products, manage your account, keep our records accurate, improve our service, and let you know about our products and offers.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Like most websites, we use cookies and similar tools, including services from Google and Meta. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device to keep the site working, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure our advertising.
These tools record information about your visit and device. Google and Meta may combine it with other information they hold, which is why you may see our advertising when browsing elsewhere online.
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work properly if you do. You can also manage your advertising preferences in your account settings with each platform.
Our website may include social media features such as like or share buttons. If you use them or follow a link to one of our social media pages, that platform may record the activity and connect it with information it already holds about you.
Our website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
Marketing
We may use your contact details to let you know about our products and offers, including through the advertising platforms we use. You can opt out at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in our emails, and we will action this promptly and free of charge.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your Personal Information. We may share it with service providers who help us run our website, ordering, delivery and marketing, and where the law requires it or in circumstances such as unlawful activity or serious threats to health and safety.
Those platforms and providers handle information under their own privacy policies, including Google's Privacy Policy and Meta's Privacy Policy, which covers Facebook and Instagram.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled in line with this policy and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Payments made through our website are processed by our payment gateway. We do not store your card details. Where you choose to save a card, it is held securely by the payment gateway and cannot be accessed or retrieved by us.
How we protect your Personal Information
We take reasonable steps to protect the Personal Information we hold from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes physical, technical and administrative safeguards, limiting access to staff who need it, and reviewing our security measures from time to time.
No method of sending or storing information is completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep Personal Information for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy. Some information is kept for longer where the law requires it, or where we may need it to deal with a future query, claim or dispute. Financial and transaction records are kept for at least seven years, as required by law.
Access, correction and complaints
You may ask for access to the Personal Information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if it is not accurate, up to date or complete. You may also make a complaint about how we have handled it. These services are free of charge.
To protect your privacy and the privacy of others, we will need evidence of your identity before we grant access or make changes. You can contact us by email or write to us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days. If it will take longer to resolve, we will give you a date by which we expect to respond.
If you are not satisfied with our resolution, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Our obligations
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page.
