Cross Weave Filament Tape

Azapak’s IMPAK 610 Cross Weave Filament Tape (also known as Two-Way Filament Tape or Bi-Directional Fibreglass Tape) introduces a bidirectional fibreglass matrix that provides tear resistance in both directions. This reinforced design makes it extremely tear-resistant without cutting tools. It is ideal for strapping, protecting heavy or sharp-edged packages, securing bundles of tubes or wood, and specialised reinforcing methods.

While it is common and highly effective to use Strapping Tape for securing pallet loads and basic bundling, Filament reinforced tape should be applied when you need high tensile strength with minimal stretch. The embedded fibreglass filaments minimise elongation under continuous pressure, making it the superior choice for corrugated box sealing, structural reinforcing, and bundling heavy industrial materials.

Yes, it is a reliable choice for pallets. Because it resists tearing and stretching, it acts as a high-strength band when wrapped around heavy cartons or industrial goods. For heavy, shifting, or sharply edged loads, using the cross-weave variety ensures the cargo remains bound together tightly throughout transport and storage.

Filament Tape adheres securely to a variety of clean, dry surfaces, including corrugated cardboard, plastic, fibreboard and metal. For the strongest bond, ensure the surface is free from dust, dirt and moisture before application. Always test the tape on the intended surface if you are unsure of its suitability.
